Cuba: Infant Mortality Remained Under 5.0 in 2011
HAVANA, Cuba.- For the fourth consecutive year, Cuba maintained its infant mortality rate under 5.0 as it finished 2011 with 4.9 deaths of infants under one year old per 1,000 live births.An article published by Granma newspaper on Tuesday reveals that in 17 out of the country’s 168 municipalities the infant mortality rate last year was 0.0.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The launching of two new dark rums, Cubay Carta Dorada and Cubay Añejo Suave, increases the number of products Cuba Ron S.A. will commercialize abroad in 2012.
Both beverages keep the traditional way of aging in their making, like all Cuban rums, which make them among the most look for rums worldwide.

On Friday, September 16, a federal district court judge made a bizarre ruling concerning one of the Cuban Five defendants who completes his jail sentence on October 7. Judge Joan Lenard ruled that René Gonzalez, who has already served thirteen years in a federal penitentiary for being an unregistered agent of the Cuban government, will be forced for the next three years to live in Miami on what is called “supervised release". Cuba Denounces Losses Close to One Trillion Dollars to US Blockade
